As the month of May concludes, the Circle City and race fans across the nation prepare for the 107th Running of the Indianapolis 500. To commemorate the historical race, Gallery Forty-Two will host their Second Annual Art of Speed Juried Art Exhibition running from May 5 to June 11 to give you a new way to be a part of the racing culture.

Partnering with Alex Wakefield, a motorsports-centric artist, Gallery Forty-Two will present 23 visual artists’ work from the area in a diversified manner. Known for his vibrant pieces, Wakefield features his passion for motorsports through representing the icons of racing. Various forms of art such as photography, paintings, and multi-media will be on display for both race and art fans to admire “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” in an inspired and unconventional style.

Gallery Forty-Two is open Wednesday through Friday from 11 am to 6 pm. Plan you visit this race week to see the artistic expression of racing culture come to life.
