The long-awaited Bicentennial Unity Plaza adjacent to Gainbridge Fieldhouse will be officially revealed to the public on August 24, and Pacers Sports & Entertainment is calling all the shots with a full weekend of community-friendly events to celebrate. The new Bicentennial Unity Plaza, featuring large-scale public art and a basketball court that converts to an ice-skating rink, will be the backdrop of community events to happen in Indianapolis.

Four Days of Community Events

Thursday, August 24: It all starts at 10 am on Thursday, morning, when city leaders and project stakeholders will gather for the Ribbon-Cutting Celebration. Then, later in the evening, the Indiana Fever Pre-Game Party will have live music, games, giveaways, face painters, balloon artists, and more.

Friday, August 25: From 5-9 pm, join the Pacers Sports and Entertainment team for Happy Hour on the Plaza, where guests can eat, drink, and dribble with live music from DJ Todd & DJ Space Bunz, play games, sample unique cocktails, and try free small plates from Indy's top chefs and food trucks. Register here for a free drink ticket for the event.

Saturday, August 26: Through a collaboration with Be Nimble Foundation, Saturday night's event, Indy Night Market on the Plaza, brings to life Indy’s food, arts, and culture scenes. The night will include farmers, restaurants, chefs, and food entrepreneurs. In celebration of Black Business Month, we will focus on Black-owned businesses, restaurants, and food entrepreneurs, as well as renowned chefs from the Pacers Sports & Entertainment Guests Chef Program.

Sunday, August 27: The weekend wraps up with two family-friendly events next Sunday. At Love of the Game, fans can enjoy basketball-themed face painting, crafts, and coloring stations, as well as inflatables, a bounce house, photo booths, and giveaways, with food and beverages available for purchase. During the event, kids ages 6-14 can partake in the JR. HOOPS Mini Clinic, focusing on the fundamentals of basketball led by special guests.
